Introducing the Summit SINCCOM1 commercial induction cooktop
Manufactured by the Felix Storch, INC company, the amazing Summit SINCCOM1 cooktop is a portable commercial induction cooktop used all over the world in professional restaurant kitchens, hotels, by catering company, and even on marine vessels – and now you can add it to your own kitchen as well!
One of the most impressive magnetic induction cooktop solutions on the planet today, this device has a temperature range of 140° to 464°F, with the default temperature setting of 212°F – just enough to boil water inside of a couple of minutes! All of that is thanks to the 120 VAC 1800 W power supply.
This device is also capable of being timed automatically, with zero to 170 minutes of cooking time being able to be programmed directly on the control panel.
That same LED control panel also houses the power switch, the LED indicator light, the heating and temperature but, as well as the timer.
Beautifully designed (with a stainless steel motif and a smooth CeranTM glass surface to protect the magnetic induction technology), this unit is also built like a tank.
It houses five individual heating elements, measuring 12 7/8” by 3 7/8” x 16 ¾” and weighs about 14 pounds.
You’ll want to make sure that you leave 2 inches of clearance on both sides and 6 inches at the rear when cooking or frying with this unit, though, as the vent won’t work if the item is turned off. This can allow heat to build up, and then you could be looking at some pretty scary situations.
Thankfully, this unit will automatically shut down after 30 seconds if it doesn’t detect induction magnetic cookware (which it requires), so you’ll have to worry about that being a problem. Just make sure you’re using pots with four and three-quarter inches in diameter, or they won’t be detected.
Check if your cookware is magnetic, simply stick a magnet on the bottom and you’ll know immediately!
It’s also a good idea to run your unit off of a surge protector, just in case. It is ETL-S certified.
Just as a little tip, you’ll be able to frying oil with this induction cooktop unit (which is different than most other options out there), but you’ll want to use the “Temp” setting to do so.
